Email [email protected] with your app version, iOS version, what you tried and what happened. Please do not send label photos, complete PDFs or QR sequences unless specifically requested during support.

Rooms, surfaces and paint layers

Add a room, then a surface, then one or more paint layers. Save the brand, colour name, label code, finish, date and notes from the can or label. The newest layer appears first and older layers remain in the history.

Language and measurements

Version 1.1 supports English and Dutch. The app follows your preferred supported language. US regions show square feet and explicitly labelled US gallons; other regions show square metres and litres. Existing data stays in its original storage units and is converted for display and entry.

Photos and text recognition

If the camera is unavailable, check iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. You can also select an existing photo from the photo library. Text recognition is an on-device entry aid: always compare suggestions with the actual label before saving.

Colours and label codes

Digital colours and combinations are approximate, not paint matches. Photos, screens and lighting can change colour appearance. RAL and other manufacturer codes are stored as label text, with no official RAL colour library. Use the original label and a physical sample when buying paint.

Create and share a PDF

Choose rooms and options, then create the PDF preview. Check that the selected paint details and photos are suitable for the recipient before sharing. The PDF is readable and is not encrypted by the app.

QR transfers

On the sending device, open Settings → QR transfer → Show animated QR code. On the receiving device, use Scan Paint Passport QR inside the app. Keep both apps open until all parts arrive. Review the preview before confirming; replacing a passport deletes its existing records and photos. Photos are excluded from QR transfers, and the transfer is unencrypted.

Delete local data

Open Settings → Erase all local data and confirm to delete the local paint records and photos. Previously exported PDFs, printouts and shared QR sequences must be deleted separately.
